Hey Mary, thanks for reading! You def have a point here! From my (online) observations and experience, I developed this theory: there is a triad, composed of i) being curvy (not "thick with a flat stomach", but natural curves / fat); ii) having what would conventionally be considered a "pretty" face (according to Western standards); and iii) being confident. I might be completely wrong, but my guess is that you can only pick two without insecure people feeling the need to "put you back in your place" because they feel threatened! I'll call performative body positivity - might write about it in the future when I have time :)
